Gareth drove some of us to class today. It was so cute, I felt like he was our soccer Dad! Especially with his daughter’s car seat right next to me lol. Not many of us in America can say our teachers have picked us up to go to class. He's awesome! It was also cool to see what town (from our flat to class) looks like above the metro.
In class we had this amazing lecture from a professor and former EU Ambassador to Israel, Thailand and Yugoslavia. The prompt was “5,000 years of bloodshed, 50 years of peace” –basically European History 101. The man was fascinating and so was the lecture. He was an older gentleman and I was distracted by the maroon/milk-chocolate colored, rough silk, sports jacket he wore. It was fabulous.
