I ate Lamb tonight! and it was GOOD!

Gareth had us over for dinner and drinks. It was listed in the syllabus as "viewing of documentary film @ 8p," but the film never happened lol. Between the metro, the two tram rides, the stop we made to pick up a dessert and the walking, it took us about an hour to get to his house. We met his girlfriend and his two adorable little daughters! It felt like a scene from "The Holiday" cause his girls were so cute with such adorable little accents.

Gareth got all fancy on us with candelights, music, and all. He cooked a lentils dish and lamb-sausage. At first I thought "aw shit lamb?! Again?" And this time there was no language barrier, I just couldn't bring myself to refuse food as a guest at someone else's house. So I had no choice but to suck it up. My plan was to put a piece of the lamb-sausage on my plate, take a little bite, wash down with wine and stick to the lentils. But after that first bite I couldnt help but serve myself two more lamb-sausages. They were delicious! Dessert was crème brûlée ice cream inside a fresh fig. That was yummy too. We were having such a fun time but before we knew it, it was time to catch the last metro back.

On the way home I cracked-up about so many dfferent little things. I had pavera a todo switche'. It could have been the beers, wine, dessert liquor or simply me being me. But it was one of those laughs where I'd try to explain why I was laughing but just couldn't get it out...ab workout and all. Just to give you an idea, Michael got off the metro and the rest of us stayed on just like the movies. So since it was the last metro of the night, we had to go to the next stop and walk back. But the stop we came out of was in a dark forest! And Zahid goes: "Uh Marty... I don't think we've ever been to this stop in the woods before" haha guess you had to be there. Although I was all laughs, they luckily found the way back.
